RAY AND HIS TEAM ARE THE BEST

BEST MOVING COMPANY AROUND! Ray and his fantastic team went above and beyond !!!! The communication throughout the move was amazing; the organization of the loading and unloading was excellent; the work ethic and empathy that these guys showed all day was beyond comprehension; the efficiency and knowledge of moving efficiently was beyond appreciated. We had a couple of bigger pieces that were not quite fitting out of my door but they made it work! I felt so bad for all the stuff I had and the heat and they took it like champs and all had smiles on. I could not recommend this company and THIS TEAM more! I have so many friends and family who are moving and I’m definitely recommending them to everyone. Also, thanks Gabriel for handling everything on the back end! I appreciate it so much. This move went without a hitch thanks to this company and team :)

All Jersey Moving And Storage.

I want to apologize in advance for the essay I am about to write, but I want to be clear about why I am only giving 1 star to this company. This is my eighth move and I can honestly say it was the worst experience I have ever had. I am a detail-oriented person by nature so I received  5 quotes before signing up with All Jersey Movers. In spite of the fact that their quote was not the lowest I received, I was drawn to this company due to the fact that their salesman Bob offered me 2 nights storage in an indoor facility with the option of more nights if they were needed. He went to great lengths to compliment the owner of the company and promised me that their quotes were always fair and were capped by the owner at no more than 2 extra hours. He also stated that every person who would be handling my belongings would be full time personnel from All NJ Movers. I signed up to pay them just over $4600 for the move itself and expected to pay an extra $300 per night for 2 nights storage with the option for extra nights storage at the same rate. I always tip 10% so I allocated the appropriate funds to my budget and expected the final outlay to be approximately $5700.I closed on my sale on a Monday and the 9-man crew turned up on Sunday an hour late and some of the crew were clearly not full time moving men, this was borne out by conversations I had with them. They took 10 1/2 hours to load up two trucks..this is a job which the unloading crew confirmed should have taken 7 hours. (By the way, the inventory of my belongings was very accurate.) The loading was diabolical. I had taken great care to pack and label all my boxes, only to discover on unloading day that many of my "fragile" boxes were squashed at the bottom of a huge mountain of heavy stuff! Jose and his brother Eric, however, did a first rate job of wrapping up my furniture. As is very often the case, I suspected the Tuesday closing on my purchase was going to be delayed by a day, so on the Saturday I spoke to the office and checked that the option of an extra day's storage was still available. I was told that this would be fine as long as I was prepared to pay the extra $300, which I agreed to. However, when I called on Monday to confirm the one night's extra storage I was met with a big fat NO. They had committed the trucks and needed to unload me on Tuesday am..I was due to close Tuesday at 4.30pm and was homeless in the meantime. It was at this point that things went seriously pear shaped, with Mark stating that he would never had agreed to extra last minute storage, in spite of the fact that his salesman used it as a sales ploy and his office confirmed that this would be OK just 2 days beforehand. Apparently neither of these people had the authority to promise me this service! In the end, Mark did begrudgingly agree to off load me Tuesday evening after my closing. Stressful situation with me pushing my attorney to get the closing papers prepared for a rushed closing late Tuesday. The 7-man unloading crew at my new home were great and completed the unload in just over 3 hours, complaining constantly about the poor job that had been done by the previous crew, whose loading left a lot to be desired. My furniture was undamaged but I did experience  damage to my china, which I had packed in bubble wrap and cushioned on all sides with foam in boxes marked "fragile". Because I wrapped my belongings myself the company refused to take responsibility for the breakages. Mark presented me with a bill for $6700, refusing to accept responsibility for his first crew's poor performance. He stated that he was being very fair. After a heated discussion where he flatly refused to see my point of view (that his salesman just said "yes" to all my requests in order to get the job, his first crew were inept, and that his office confirmed the extra night's storage was OK), I agreed to pay him the extra $1500, the equivalent of an extra 5 hours (or 29%) on their estimate. I had also already tipped his crew $500.I was very disappointed with the whole experience with All Jersey Movers and will certainly not be recommending them in the future.  .

Damaged item during move.

Destroyed TV during move.  Refused to take any responsibility for his crew for mishandling of the television.  When it was unwrapped at the apartment, it was clear that the screen was smashed during the handling of the item.  I was told by the salesman that the television would be packed in a box along with the artwork.  This did not occur. .

Nothing went as planned or scheduled! Beyond disappointed!

All Jersey Movers knew that the move in building had time restrictions for moves, also extra time needed for elevators and stairs. With this in mind, the move was planned to start first thing in the morning 9-30 -10:00 with a crew of 4 men. To help speed things up, I packed all the small stuff and carried half a garage full of boxes 32 steps to the garage. I also told the estimator Bob, that I would move the contents of closets, kitchen and misc. stuff. This required several trips between Denville and Highlands.
Moving day: The crew showed up 11:15 with only 3 men.
By 3pm it was apparent that the move would go well beyond the
extended move in time limit. After contacting the building manager, it was decided to move in the following day. Worried about the extra expense of a two day move, I contacted AJM. They assured me not to worry, thanked me for my cooperation and understanding. I was told the crew would be at the apartment building first thing the next day. Again, crew shows up after 11:15. The move in seemed to go at a steady pace, progressing nicely. Around 3pm, things seemed to be winding down. The crew disappeared for about an hour. I thought they might have left. Finally, 4:15 pm they reappeared, explaining that they had to get in touch with office to get the final total of the move. I was told, it would be slightly more. Ok, I didn't have a problem with a few dollars. However, next day I received a voice mail from Cheryl. She informed me that there would be an additional amount of$437 on my credit card. This came as a nasty surprise! Over the next 10 days I tried getting in touch with Cheryl for an explanation. When I finally was able to talk to her, she said, the move took extra time. Asking about the amount given by the crew, she said that amount made no sense to her! Of course now I'm wondering if the crew took an extended smoke break at my expense, and made up some amount. Also, did not receive an invoice and receipts for my charges until requesting them from AJM.
This move has been not only financially draining, but also cost me a lot of extra time off work, not to mention the unnecessary stress! AJM has been a terrible experience for me.

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Washington DC

Quick and easy.

I had All Jersey move me from Bridgewater to Washington D.C. I was recommended this company by a coworker. I was told that they would be prompt, professional, and at a great price. I couldn't have been happier with the service that was provided to me. None of my items were damaged or missing, upon delivery. I have a large amount of antique and one of a kind items that were treated very well. I would recommend this company to friends, family, and coworkers. .

Long-distance move from New Jersey to Virginia

Misrepresentation of payment terms.

A horiffic 2 day move.  Truck was too small to accomodate my things and the truck arrived ALREADY containing items to be dropped off at another customer's destination. (The owner during a previous conversation lied to me by telling me that he did not combine jobs!)  As a result of so much time spent squeezing things in and out of the truck and squeezing the overflow into my car, the pickup was not complete until 8:30 PM in NJ.  I was obliged to spend the night at a friend's house since my apartment was completely vacant.  The next day, the movers arived at my destiination in Va. (only 2 men were sent which was inefficint, inhumane and highly irregular).  Midway through the unloading process, the head mover politely asked me to make my payment.  I had advised All Jersey prior to the move that I would pay in cash;  however, I did not have enough cash due to the hefty tip I gave the wonderful workers.  I hoped to pay $600 towards the $3,000 move using my Via card since All Jersey's contract indicates that they accept credit cards.  The owner, Mark Quinn would not accept my partial credit card payment because he said it was Sun night (10:00 PM---but whose fault was that??).  Neither would the owner accept a personal check IN ADDITION to the credit card charge as a guarantee.    Quinn told me by phone that if I did not produce the cash he would have the movers drive the remaining items on the truck back to NJ!  He suggested I go out to an ATM machine and get the $600.  Since I was only then moving into the town, I didn't even know where the bank/ATM machine was.   The time was now 10:30 PM. I called my realtor and fortunately she lent me $600.  Once fully paid in cash to Quinn's satisfaction, the unloading process continued until 1:30AM at which time the workers were obliged to drive 7 hours back to NJ.  This company really abuses minority employees and is totally cruel and unprofessional to customers. .

Professional company.

My elderly mother needed to hire professional movers to transport her belongings from Baskin Ridge, NJ to Toms River, NJ. As her only child I was assigned the task; luckily a co-worker suggested All Jersey Movers. After reading over their website and giving them a call – where I spoke to their salesman Bob, I knew their service would fit my needs. Bob was fantastic! He returned my phone calls promptly and put any issues to rest. The moving crew arrived on time and in uniform which was comforting to my mother. All of her fragile items were transported with the upmost care. She and I were both extremely satisfied with the crews work and the company as a whole. If you need a professional, detail oriented moving service I highly recommend All Jersey Movers!

Very Satisfied.

I want to thank Eric and Ariel from all state movers for doing an excellent job in moving my dads furniture from his home into my garage today. Theses experienced men lowered from a second floor bedroom window an 80" ladies triple dresser and the man's armorer which was not damaged in that very difficult move. It was not an easy task. I commend them for a job well done.

Great experience.

Jose and Eric were great to work with. They were friendly, punctual, and efficient - our job started on time and finished early. They took a lot of care making sure boxes and furniture went to the right place in our new apartment. Everything was handled with care and nothing was damaged during the move. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Edgecomb move.

My move was a great experience from start to finish. I spoke with Cheryl who arranged for Bob Stanton to come to my home and give me an estimate for my move. On the day of the move Nate called me to let me know the time he would arrive at my home. Both Nate and his team arrived at the time he stated. They were efficient and careful of both my home and furnishings. The move went very smoothly. They were pleasant to work with which made a very stressful time easy to deal with. I would recommend them to anyone planning a move.
